Mars 500
Meanwhile..
Six 'astronauts' are locked in a facility in Moscow to simulate a space journey to Mars - for 520 days (3 June 2010 - 5 November 2011).

The crew spend most of their time conducting tests, tending to the plants, and watching nature simulations (with sounds using headphones) to give them that refreshing Earthly feel now and again.
More info at ESA.

Escalators
The world's highest escalator, not for the faint hearted..

Providing access to the top two floors of the Umeda Sky Building in Osaka, Japan.
But don't worry! For those who suffer from vertigo try the world's smallest escalator, this guy is loving it..
At the Okadaya Mores shopping mall in Kawasaki, Japan.
